Push her! LOL)

gilli_in_blue
The theme is ribbon & pearls and I had a ball with it. I used my
Romantic Gilli and decked her out up for a night out on the town...
I added some prima flowers and some vintage ribbon flowers to the
Card along with some velvet ribbon to finish it off.

Hola! from Senorita Gilli

Happy Wednesday everyone! Aletha here, and it’s my turn to share my project with you all for our Ribbons and Pearls challenge at the House of Gilli. Come join us. You have until April 10 at 10:00 p.m. to enter.

I have chosen Senorita Gilli for my little piece of art. She was perfect to color with my Copics. And then I had a lot of fun adding all the layers. I have used the Elegant Flourishes Sizzix die for extra flourish around the flowers and in the upper right hand corner. The other dies that I have used are Spellbinder’s in Scalloped Circles, Parisian Motifs, and Fleur De Lis Rectangles. And all of these (including Gilli) can be purchased from StampingScrapping. The most wonderful online merchant you will ever meet!

And, after you have entered your creation above, and if you used a Gilli, don’t forget to join and post to our groups on Yahoo (House of Gilli) and our photo gallery on Flicker (Gilli Gallery).
I hope you join us in this wonderful challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Ribbons and Pearls - Challenge #4

Hi Gang, This is Becca here. It is my turn to host our challenge this week, and I have chosen the theme of Ribbon and Pearls. Two of my fave embellishments are Ribbon and Pearls!!!!
I have chosen Jeans Gilli for this weeks card. I just LOVE her, she is one of my faves.
I used my new K&Company Julienne paperpad for this card. I love the soft, vintage feel of these papers, so pretty. The designs are just gorgeous. I loved these papers, as the soft blues are perfect for Jeans Gilli.
I used white Grossgrain ribbon for my ribbon, and added tons of prima pearl swirls, as well as large adhesive pearls to the corners.
I colored Gilli with copics
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair - E25, E31, 50
Shirt - G99, YG91, blender
Pants - B95, B91
Shoes - E41, E40, E42
I used my Flower Border stamp to stamp around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress ink, then sponged the edges.
If you would like more details on my card, you can join me on my blog here.
I hope you will hop on over to Stamping Scrapping and pick up some Gilli stamps, and come over and join us for this week's challenge - Ribbons and Pearls. If you use a Gilli stamp, you get two chances to win!!! The prize this week is a Gilli Grab bag filled lots of Gilli surprises!!!!!! Cant wait to see what you all create, lets get crafty!

Gilli Asian :: Blossom

Gilli Asian_CheeryBlossom~
Hello everyone…Pastel & Bling…Hard to pass this challenge right? Who is not inspired by the full spectrum of colors that Spring bring us..Although it is pretty cold around Gilliland…lol.

Gilli Asian_CheeryBlossom_f
Have you joined is in Stephanie sweet adventure thru the soft tones? For my pastel & bling project I was inspired by the softness of cherry blossoms.  I colored Gilli Asian with copic markers. The sparkles from the bag and accessories were added using stickles…star dust. Also colored with copics, my paper flowers (prima)…to add a little dimension to the flower the centers were made with glass seed beads. Also adding to the dimensionality of the sketch I cut slits of paper colored with a soft green tone of copic.  My lovely lattice background is a design from the online Silhouette library. I colored my lattice a rainbow color combo created using different Distress Inks…I went hard core and added real glitter on the top of the lattice….the picture doesn’t make justice to the softness that the glitter add to the background.
You still have a little time to joing the challenge…so grab your markers and let your imagination guide you! We will be around to come and visit you…
Tomorrow we will be starting a brand new challenge with Becca…so stay tuned for more astonishing projects from the Gilli Design Team! Don’t forget to bring your Gilli Project…you could be having some fun with us as a guest DT for the week!
Lots of hug.
Specs on the card coming a bit witty later today on Gilli Blog…: )

Challenge #3--Pastels with Bling!

Gilli Gets Bling!

Today I'm sharing a fun card I made for a NEW House of Gilli Challenge HERE!  We have been challenged us to GO PASTEL WITH BLING on our Gilli stamps!  Easy peasy me thinks!  I used this beautiful "Girly Gilli"--isn't she adorable, reminds me of my teen daughter Alexa!  The papers are by Basic Grey called "Hopscotch" & I loved the muted tones of peaches and greens and fun patterns.  The sentiment is from PTI and that lovely paper trim was done with a MS border punch.  The fun flower accents were cut with Spellbinders dies and then embossed with different Cuttlebug embossing folders.

And yes she was colored with Copics (but of course sillies, LOL)!  I used G04,G02,G00/R02,R00/E11,E00/E37,E35,YR20,E50.  I put some stickles on her shoes and accents for some bling--every gal has gotta have bling right?

Now you can see the whole line of Gilli stamps and accessories at StampingScrapping.com here!  And come join in the challenge here at the House of Gilli  for a fabulous prize!!

Thanks and Enjoy the Day,
Suzanne J Dean

House of Gilli Challenge 2 Pastels and Bling

Hello Everyone,
This is Dionne and I get the pleasure of sharing my creation today.  I must admit, pastel was a challenge for me because I love bold and bright and intense colors, and bling. So I decided to do a little note pad for my daughters teacher.  We like to let her know that we appreciate all her hard work. I decided to use Bloomers Gilli, since summer is almost here, and 4 different colors of paper, pink, aqua, lavender, and yellow and inked all the edges. I also used Spellbinders matching stamps on the bottom of each page. The book has 15 pages. Well enjoy and come play with us.

Guest Designer–Patricia St. Martin–A Party At Gilli’s House!

Welcome to our first Guest Designer Post!  We are so excited to have the very talented Patricia St. Martin as our Guest Designer for our Use Green Challenge!  Be sure to check out her amazing work over on her her blog Rubber Stamping is my Game.  Check out the amazing project she made for us!

Gilli was very curious about Patricia and asked her a few questions.  Here is the interview:

Gilli: How long have you been crafting and what are your favorite crafts?

Patricia:  The very first thing I want to say that I'm so happy to be here and say THANK YOU for having me be the FIRST GUEST DESIGNER AT THE HOUSE OF GILLI BLOG. All my life I have been doing some kind of crafting. When I discovered rubber stamps it was in the late 1980's. I totally fell in love with stamping. It did not take long and I started designing and creating my own cards. I also started teaching at several of the stores in our town. I know that was my calling. I love to teach people anything when it comes to my creating. I can not say I never loose my mojo but so far I have not had a problem with coming up with ideas and I have several of my friends that come to me for ideas and I have not failed them. I can not put a couple of pieces of paper together and call it a card. I need to put my hard and soul into it, that is what it is all about. When I give someone a card I'm giving them a piece of me and a gift.

Gilli:  What do you like best about Gilli Stamps?

Patricia:  I love how the Gilli stamps are made. The rubber is a really good red rubber that is strong. They have a deep cute in the image so their is no chance to make a mistake when you are stamping your image on your paper so the Gilli stamps stamp perfect every time you stamp them. And that fact the Gilli's girls are so cute.

Gilli:  Tell us a little about yourself.

Patricia:  I'm retired. I love it!!! I'm married now 44 years. We have 3 wonderful sons. David the oldest still single, Kurt the middle who is married to Jessica and has given me 2 wonderful grandchildren Aiden age 9 and Emma age 5. Robert my youngest still single but has given me one grandson Isaiah who is 13. I have one stamp club I run we are called the  K-Town Stampers, we get together the first Thursday of each month we do projects, make and takes, makes cards for Soldiers last year we sent over 1,000 cards. I all so belong to another club and we are just a group of friends that get together and make all kinds of things. I could go on but I'm sure this is way to much now.

Thank you so much Patricia for your great project and for being our very first Guest Designer!

Would you like to be a Gilli Guest Designer and have your project featured here?  To be considered as a Guest Designer – you just need to enter a Gilli project into our current Gilli Challenge.  It is that simple!  We will choose a guest designer from one of our Challenge entries that used a Gilli in their project.  So ink up your Gilli stamps and show us what you make!

Gilli Rockability Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Hello Everyone!  I'm so happy to present my card using Gilli Rockability ~ she's a cute Irish lass today.  I was so excited to make a St. Patrick's Day themed card, and it took me back to elementary school days.  My Mom used to make me, my five sisters and brother the best looking shamrocks to wear.  Her cute shamrocks with faces were made out of fabric; the teacher would always make a big deal, and my face would proceed to turn crimson as the class turned to look.  ....And now here's my Gilli celebrating St. Patrick's Day fun:
I used the following Copic Markers:  skin:  E00, R000, R00, R01 and R20  Dress:  G29, G28, YG17, YG11, YG03  Hair:  E19, E18, E17, E15 and E13.

I added Star Dust Stickles to Gilli's apron ~ available here.  My favorite adhesive for paper is the 1/2" Scor-Tape.  After searching the local stores for carnation flowers and finding none, I created some carnations out of tissue paper and then air-brushed them with Copics.  Thanks so much for stopping by today,  Ann  :)

Green Challenge

Hi!  Karen here with my take on the green challenge.  I have chose Tee Gilli by Anary and colored her with prisma colored pencils.  I used the circle Spellbinders to cut her out on the Grand Calibur.  I used a Just Rite stamp set for the sentiment and also used the cricut Designers Calendar and Lacy Labels cartridges.  I used heat embossing with white embossing powder to edge the four leaf clovers with and finished it off with ribbon, a button, some cluny lace trim, and some stitching.  I also used the scor-pal to have the perfect fold on the cardstock.  I hope you come and join in the fun and link your card up for the challenge!!

House Of Gilli Challenge 2: Go Green

Hello Everyone,
This is Dionne here and welcome back to another House of Gilli Challenge. Without further ado, here's Tee Shirt Gilli sporting her Sparkly lime green tee, and matching hair bows. This card is 5 1/2 square, a pretty nice size with lots of sewing. Stole Gilli goes Green

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns with your GREEN project today!  I have to admit, green is not a color I normally use other then for foliage.  So…. when I saw anaRy’s Green challenge,  I was a little nervous.  But I do love to  St. Patrick’s Day and all fun I have with my kids dyeing all our food green.  Well I decided that If I can dye food green in March I can make a Green Paper Creation.
GreenGilliArtistic1
I decided to make a different sized project.  This card is 3x5 1/2.  Something different.  Stole Gilli is all dressed up for a St. Patrick’s Day party.  Her lovely green and brown dress with matching stole, cap, hair accessory, purse and shoes.  I love all her accessories.  Her pretty Irish red hair sticking out from under her cap is so cute!  I colored her with my Copic Sketch markers and added a few white highlights.
I stamped the You and Me on a Frou Frou Tag and added a few Crystal Gems with my I-Rock.   Gilli is resting on a Color Me White flower (highlighted with a green Copic) and an Anglaise Lace Circle die.
I can’t wait to see your Green Project!  Be sure to enter it into the Inlinkz above this post – and remember you don’t have to use a Gilli but if you do you will not only get 2 entries into the random draw but will also be considered for a Guest Designer spot for our next challenge!!!

4.3.11

The Bonny Lass with the Green Hair

My turn for our second House of Gilli challenge. Our Hostess with the Mostess, anaRy, (and it being March) challenged us to use green. The Gilli I selected for my project is Burlesque Gilli, and I definitely used green! LOL  This was another fun one! Do some of you remember the movie The Boy with the Green Hair? This is where I got the idea for the green hair.

The cardstock I used is from Stampin’ Up! in Basic Black.  The designer paper I purchased from Michaels and it’s the Amy Butler series from K&Company. I also used the Spellbinder’s die in the Large Deckled Rectangles. The deckled edges were enhanced with Smooch Ink in Kiwi and Illuminate.

As everyone knows by now I purchase most of my supplies from StampingScrapping.com. These partners have some of the best variety and prices and definitely the best customer service. Go check them out!

My flowers I used are from the Little Flower Pack. These are so fun! You color them to match your project.  I used two sizes and colored them with Copics in YG21 and W02, and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl. The skeleton leaves are from the “Color Me Series” also. I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist Sweet Clover.  The other embellishment is the green Magnolia Shabby Chic Chandelier Garland.

Other challenges for Burlesque Gilli:
Splitcoast Stampers sketch SC314 (sketch to the right)
Craft Your Passion Challenges – Getting Girlie
Papertake Weekly – Anything goes with something old (rhinestones from my stash)
Copic Musketeers - Spring
Thanks for stopping by! I so hope you join us in this challenge. And if you use a Gilli in your project, don’t forget to join and post your little piece of art at House of Gilli at Yahoo and the Gilli Gallery on Flickr.

Jeans Gilli goes Green

This week at the House of Gilli, we are going Green!!! And, here is my card for this weeks challenge. Well, this was kinda a hard challenge for me, as I do not use a lot of green, so I had to search through my paper collection to find something "Just right". Well, I think I did just that!!! I used my Graphic 45, Once Upon a Springtime paper, and I just LOVE the way this card came out.
I used Jeans Gilli for this card, and I think she might be my favorite. Who am I kidding, they are all my favorite!!!! LOL Pop on over to Stamping Scrapping and pick some up for yourself, I know you are going to LOVE them!!! I love Jeans Gilli, as she can be used for so many different occasions, so I made an ALL OCCASION card to show that off. I also added the Gilli Flower Border to the outside of my image panel. I stamped it with Antique Linen Distress ink an then distressed the edges.

If you want more details on my card, you can pop over to my blog and check it all out.
I hope you will break out those green papers and join us for this weeks challenge. I cant wait to see all your Gilli creations!!!!!
