Parisian Gilli

Hello Gilli Girls,

Today is my turn to show a card for the recycle and texture challenge over here House of Gilli.

I’m so excited coz this is my first time using Parisian Gilli and I absolutely love this girl. She is from the new collection called Summer’11.

So here goes:

I colored my Parisian Gilli with copic markers E47, E33, E32, B02, B00, C9, C7, C3, E11, E00 &R20.

For the texture I used a bit of glossy on her shoes, but unfortuntately, we cant see on the pic.
For the recycle I got the ribbon that I received in a gift pack..
The gorgeous background papers are from  Authentique, I even used a piece of left over.

Sentiment is my fave one, it is from Stamping Scrapping Designs  and  is frou frou tag set and placed the sentiment on the Stamping Scrapping Dies – frou frou tag nesties. I cut it using my Grand Calibur.

Flower and Rhinetones are from my stash.

I hope you liked  my card and come on over to play with us. You dont have to have a Gilli Stamp to participate in our challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs & Kisses,

Senorita Gilli

Hey everyone it's Dionne here for this awesome Challenge and I love the ideal of recycling. I had a sheer and metallic ribbon I took off of a present and saved and had no ideal of what I would do with it. I cut it in have width wise and used half for her veil, and the other as the ribbon at the top of the tag. I also embossed the torn paper I used on the bottom that I had left over from another project. Enjoy

House of Gilli ~ Challenge #19

Happy Thursday!  This was a very fun challenge for me ~ thank you Wini!  I thought of this wooden box when thinking about recycling.  It was pushed way back on a shelf and was covered in dust.  The base was painted a colonial blue and  the lid stenciled, made during my country-style crafting phase.

I colored Painter Gilli with Copics, and my die cuts were made using my paper scrap bin.  My texture is the paint; it's hard to see in the pic, but the paint is really thick.  I spattered the paint on the lid with paint stir sticks (saw a man on youtube apply it this way) and some fine spatters with a toothbrush.  I'd recommend everyone give the *Jackson Pollock* inspired paint spattering a try, it's a thrill to create.  If you'd like to order an adorable Gilli stamp please email:  anary@anary.com   Thanks so much for visiting and I would love to see your creations, come join in the fun!  Ann

Hello Sweet!

Gilli Lollipop_Hello

Hello lovelies! I have missed you! I am telling being sick is not fun but trying to catch up is worse! lol. I am making some time to join everyone here for a House of Gilli Challenge! I can never make myself to throw away pieces of paper lol..sometimes I have a whole messy pile of little things right next to me. Don’t laugh! lol

This card believe it or not was pieced with a lot Gilli Lollipop_Hello_aof my left overs lol. Gilli Lollipop was colored with copic markers and her lollipop was made with some twine. I wanted to give the lollipop a candy texture so I added glossy accents on the top of it. The picture cannot show that much but in person is nice and shiny and hard like a true candy! The little lace border was made using Ek punch. For the circles I used a fiskars punch…I actually like this punch…it looks like of of those exercises things LOL. The cutsey paper is from Echo Park. The polka dot one I created just by using a white marker :  ).

So how about you put all those little left overs to work? It could earn you a cool gift from us…wouldn’t that be nice? You will be able to say…”It pays off to save the tiny things!” lol.

See yall!

Recycle and Texture Challenge

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns and I am so excited to bring you a new challenge today!  I have been so excited about this challenge.  I love to repurpose stuff and so this is is the perfect challenge for me.  We want you to use something Recycled on your project and incorporate lots of Texture too!

Make sure to link your project in the inlinkz below for your chance to win a GREAT GILLI GOODIE!!  As always you do not have to use a Gilli on your project but if you do you will get 2 entries into the challenge!!  How fun!!

Here is my project for you today…

texture stole gilli close

I always color my images but wanted to try something different.  I had some kraft paper left over from another project and decided that this was the project to use it on.  I simply stamped Stole  Gilli on the kraft cardstock and then used some FlowerSoft to add some color and texture to her hat and stole.  All the cardstock and DSP that I used are leftovers from other projects that I had in my scrap bin.  The corrugated piece is part of a box that I cut up and peeled the paper backing off to expose the texture.  The lace is some leftover trim that I thought added another nice texture element to the card.  The letters are chipboard letters that I covered with more scrap paper.  Here is a good picture of all the layers of texture on the card…

I hope you are inspired to try your had at a project using something recycled and some texture too.  Enjoy and don’t forget to enter your project in the Inlinkz below for your chance to win!

Let's Go Shopping

Hey Ladies,
Check out this cute Gilli Shopper stamp and come play with us on this Challenge. I loved trying these colors. I went with purple, green and white. I also made her an easel card.

Lady Gilli is ready for Halloween

I had soooo much fun getting Lady Gilli ready for Halloween and our current challenge of choosing any 3 of the colours purple, orange, green, black and white. Or if you are like me- all of them hee hee. First thing we did is colour her hair a fun shade of purple. Who wouldn't like to try purple hair- even for just one day. Fun! I then paper pieced her dress from some Authentique Halloween paper then covered the dress in glitter to give the web look some sparkle.

My background paper is from a DCWV pack I grabbed a few year's back and keep using over and over again. I added a punched fence and some spooky bats to complete the card. Sooo...have you felt someone staring at you while you read this post? Me too...I think I see some strange eyes coming from the house on my card...weird ;).

Hope you have some crafty time to play along with us and our challenge. We would love to see your creations! Cheers, Andi

Parisian Vampire Gilli

Here's Parisian Gilli all decked out for some Halloween fun!  I colored her with Copics and added a little cape I made for her costume.

The paper is MS dp, which I inked up a bit with Tim Holtz distress ink in soot and Memento ink in grape. The background paper I made with a MS stamp.  I made the little *blood* droplets using Viva liner in Ruby.  The die is Spellbinders' wonky square.  Come join us for some fun!  Thanks,  Ann

Spooky Bride

Romantic_Halloween_Bride~I am sharing with you a card I made for Halloween last year. I loved it so much that I decide to post it again here at the house.  Now talking about a transformation lol. Gilli Romantic is coming from the other side to spook you all! All the coloring was done with copic and copic multiliners. In this card I used also copic airbrushing! I love doing that. All the frills and details are cuts from the silhouette die cutter library. The base is a nestability die that I decorated with some hand drawn eye balls LOL…The little creepy embellishments were also made by hand..don’t you just love the bone, the cemetery stone and that lovely eye ball hanging? lol

I hope you will join in for this fun challenge! Super hugs

House of Gilli Challenge 17: Fall

Hey Ladies,
I really had a lot of fun with this card. I was inspired by a card done by Amy R for a current card series she is doing. I went with this awesome pattern paper from My Minds Eye Stella Rose collection.(love this stuff), that reminder me of fall with a little kick to it. I used the Summer 2011 release stamp Painter Gilli. Enjoy and come join the fun.
